FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. HOW LONG IN ADVANCE SHOULD I MAKE A RESERVATION?

We recommend you contact us as soon as you consider this a possible location for your retreat. We request a minimum of two weeks’ notice.

2. HOW MUCH DOES A GROUP RETREAT COST?

Pricing is tailored to each group’s needs. The average cost is around $100 per person per night.

3. DO I NEED TO MAKE A DEPOSIT? WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

Yes, we require a 20% deposit in advance; the full amount is due 30 days prior to your retreat. We only accept ACH but in the future will be able to take credit cards. Please check with your intake specialist.

4. WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Cancel 45+ days in advance of the reservation for a full refund of your deposit

5. HOW LONG CAN A GROUP OR INDIVIDUALS STAY?

Groups may book the retreat house for up to two weeks. Stays are billed one week at a time. See the schedule of upcoming retreats for more information on individual experiences offered at this time.

6. WHAT TYPES OF ROOMS ARE AVAILABLE?

We have 40 individual guest rooms (20 on each floor). Each room has a twin bed. Every two rooms share a bathroom.

PLEASE NOTE: Retreat groups can only reserve 20 rooms at a time. This means you can reserve one floor or both floors, but not part of a floor.

7. WHAT SPACES ARE AVAILABLE FOR MY GROUP TO USE?

• Library
• Oratory/Adoration chapel
• Large dining room
• Small boardroom/dining room for 14 people
• Large meeting room with large TVs
• Two private conversation rooms
• Other small meeting rooms

In addition, your group can participate in daily Mass and confessions next door at the National Shrine.

8. IS THE RETREAT HOUSE ACCESSIBLE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES?

Yes, there is an elevator and ramp. One room is accessible and has an accessible bathroom, shared with another bedroom.

9. CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE YOUTH RETREATS?

No. All guests must be age 18 and older.

10. DO YOU HAVE A KITCHEN STAFF THAT PREPARES AND SERVES MEALS?

No. Catering is strongly encouraged and a list of preferred caterers available. We do have a refrigeration and serving area. We also have food warming capacity (up to 325 degrees). Meals are to be eaten in the dining room. Coffee, tea, water and light snacks are available all day.

11. IS PARKING AVAILABLE?

Yes. Parking is free and there are plenty of spots.
